September 01-30: Le Van Duyet Tomb Festival

When: Le Van Duyet Tomb, 126 Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Ho Chi Minh City
Locals gather to worship Le Van Duyet, a Nguyen Dynasty military figure who once governed Gia Dinh. The Le Van Duyet Tomb Festival is the city's biggest, commemorating the anniversary of his death with prayers, boi singing and games.

National holiday celebrates the country's 1945 independence and the creation of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam), as well as the death of Ho Chi Minh.

September 05: London Nights
